The assembly and thought for the day programme is conducted regularly between 9.30 a.m and 10.00 a.m. under the guidance of the Principal of the college. This is aimed to produce teachers with novel ideas to cope up with the needs of the society. In this programme all the students are given opportunities to share their views in turn on various topics related to education, value system and current issues. The objectives of the programme are,

The college council is formed to organize campus activities with all the faculty members including Tamil Director and Librarian. Principal is the Chairman of the Council. The Secretary was elected by the members and the council meets periodically to discuss academic matters of the college.
There is a well stocked store working in the campus. It supplies quality notebooks and stationary items at reasonable rate for the students.
A Canteen is also functioning in the college campus for providing light refreshment to the students and staff at reasonable cost.
To curb the menace of ragging in all its forms , and Anti- Ragging Cell has been functioning in our college as per UGC regulations. It takes effective measures to discourage ragging.
This is a forum in the college to address the issues of women’s students.
The main role as a teacher is to promote learning among the students. This is possible only when teacher act as a guide and the students actively participate in the process of learning. During the teacher learning process the teacher has to locate and identify the area where the learner commits mistakes. It is the crucial stage of the teaching - learning process where you have to diagnose and prepare instructional material for remedial teaching to ensure the desired quality of learning. Remedial coaching is also carried out to help the students who are weak in studies to get reasonable scores in the examinations.
A health club was constituted to ensure the health status of the teacher trainees with all the faculty members including Tamil Directors. Every teacher trainee of the college will have to undergo a medical inspection arranged by the college. Various seminars and study classes will be organized for the purpose. Prevention is always better than cure. As part of the community service, ways and means to prevent epidemics by educating the masses, the necessity to adopt immunity measures, inoculation, etc. were taught to the teacher trainees, as also to inculcate the habit of reading health journals.
Every student of this college will have to undergo a free medical check-up arranged by the college
College Magazine will be published once in a year. In the Editorial Board the principal is the chairman and one staff editor is nominated by the principal from the faculty members and three elected student representatives. The editorial board is solely responsible for editing and publishing of articles in the magazine.
This is a forum in the college to listen to the grievances of women students and to take appropriate redressal actions. This forum performance well under the leadership of Mrs.R.S.Lathy Nair and Mrs.R.Leela Bai and other senior lady members of this college.
Bridge Course and Value Added Course was constituted to reduce the gap between the teacher trainees coming from different localities. Value Added Courses such as Yoga and Meditation, Computer Education and Spoken English help the teacher trainees to know more about the thrilling and marvelous achievement of the modern world. Value Added Courses are helpful in developing the spirit of constructive competition among individuals. Value Added Course is an attempt to aggregate knowledge at one place, to develop it, and to disseminate it to the younger generation.
